When running, the cable will bounce everywhere unless I hold it down. On the positive side, if the cable gets caught on something, there is a some slack in the coiled cable design. I was looking for a sweat proof headphone and this product fits the bill. The only issue is that the cable is coiled which is both a positive and negative design feature. I guess I could get a cable clip to hold it down.
The Sony headphones sounded good but couldn't stand up to a vigorous workout. These headphones do not budge while running and I haven't had any problems with them yet.
I recommend these headphones for any active person out there. It has decent lows but the highs are very dull and all my music sounds like lower quality mp3 recordings.
The only thing I think needs improving is the sound quality. Especially when you are sweating heavily on a four mile run.
I recently picked up these headphones when my Sony MDR-AS30G headphones shorted out after using them for long runs. These headphones have a water resistant silicone outer cover for the drivers and a comfortable yet highly stable behind the neck strap.
This is tolerable since I am using these for the gym or running and sound quality is not as important as durability.
These headphones have both cases covered. However, I would've really liked to see the audio plug be a an angled plug rather than straight, but it's not a big deal.Overall, I'd recommend these for anyone who goes to the gym, jogs, rides, etc., and sweats a lot. These headphones have a great sound and really good base response. I also really like the reactive coiled cable, it's kind of like a spring and doesn't get tangled. I've been through many pairs of headphones over the years using my mp3 player while working out, and it's usually due to to much moisture or the cord shorting out.
